QuanitScan turns an office scanner into a densitometer. Using a scanned image of a polyacrylamide or agarose gel, autoradiogram, TLC etc QuantiScan has similar functionality to a sophisticated densitometer, but at a fraction of the cost. The program can accept images directly from any TWAIN compliant scanner as well as almost any Windows Bitmap (BMP), JPEG (JPG) or uncompressed TIFF (TIF) file. It has sophisticated lane processing and analysis for gels as well as a separate mode for analysis of discrete blots. Numeric, graphical and image output can be printed as reports, saved as files or copied to the clipboard |
