pro Fit

pro Fit provides a powerful environment of graphical presentation and analysis of numerical data and mathematical functions. Various commands are provided for data processing. A built-in compiler can be used for defining data transformation algorithms, scripts and mathematical functions. Unique tools for curve fitting.

Camera ready graphs

Data and functions can be plotted and edited using powerful drawing tools. Graphs can have multiple x- and y-axes with linear, logarithmic, probability or 1/x-scaling. Texts can have sub- and superscripts and mix any fonts. Graphics can be exported as Postscript, Quickdraw GX, PICT or publishers. 3D-graphs can be generated on the Power Macintosh.

Data windows

Data windows can store numerical or text data. Built-in filters allow import from practically all ASCII data formats.

Curve fitting

Functions can be fitted to data points using one of several fitting algorithms. Curves can have multiple x- or y-values. Data points can have errors in x- and/or y-direction. Fitting errors are evaluated by statistical Monte-Carlo methods. Functions can be fitted interactively: Simply click and drag a function's curve and see how its parameters change.
